I'm not exactly into Twitter, but I thought about it and I got such an good idea. Now it's summer and a lot of people have vacation now, and I'm one of them. So I don't have so much time to write here, since I'll be traveling trough Norway from next week on and I'll be doing that in 3 weeks. 

So this is what I thought:

I'm going to try to post something every day; like a biblevers, a song about our god, a video, or simple just about how wonderful he is.

The Blessing

In Numbers 6:22-27 it says:
"The Lord spoke to Moses: Tell Aaron and his son,"This is the way you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
"The Lord bless you and protect you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."
So they will put my name in the Israelites, and I will bless them."

In Norway we have a song called "velsignelsen"(in english it's "the blessing"), and the lyrics is mostly the blessing (Numbers 6:24-26).

Here's a video where a Norwegan choir sings "velsignelsen."

Band Rehearsal

Yesterday we had band rehearsal again, and everytime we're done rehearsal, I look forward to next time.
For now we have just rehearsal and get together, and from the fall we're going to play concerts.

In the band we play; drums, piano, bass, guitar(sometimes) and we sing.

In the band we're 6 persons that's playing, maybe 7. And we have a lot of friends who support us and come with us when we have rehearsal. We laugh, we play, we argue, we have fun. And if someone had a really bad day when they got there, we turn that bad day into the opposite.  

"Praise the lord!

Ask him for help!

Publicize his mighty acts among the nations!

Make it known that he is unique!"

- Isaiah 12:4

Without Jesus?

Tenk på hvordan det hadde vært hvis Jesus ikke døde på korset, hvordan hadde verden vært?

Da hadde kristendommen ikke vært til, de fleste som er kristne hadde nok hørt til jødedommen og de andre hadde nok ikke trodd på Gud i det hele tatt. Verden hadde vært et helt annerledes sted hvor det hadde vært mange fortapte, den hadde vært så trist.

For Jesus døde på korset for oss, sånn at vi skal vite at syndene våres er tilgitt og at han elsker oss. Han gjorde det for oss, han gjorde for DEG. For så høyt elsker han oss.

Hadde han ikke gjort det hadde vi kanskje ikke vist at han elsker oss, vi hadde følt oss som ikke kunne bli tilgitt for alle syndene vi gjør, mange av oss hadde vært uten mening i livet.

Uten Jesus hadde det ikke vært noe kristendom. Så tenk på det.

"For så høyt har Gud elsket verden

at han ga din Sønn, den enbårne,

for at hver den som tror på han, 
ikke skal gå fortapt,

men ha evig liv."

- Johannes 3:16

Think about how it would be if Jesus didn't die on the cross, how would the world be like?

When Christianity hadn't been to, most people who are Christians would most likely been jew and the others had probably not believed in God at all. The world would been a totally different place where there had been many lost, and it would have been really sad.

For Jesus died on the cross for us, so we could know that our sins are forgiven and that he loves us. He did it for us, he it did for YOU. That is how much he loves us.

If he hadn't done so, we would probably not know that he loves us, and we had felt that we could not be forgiven for all the sins we do, many of us would be without meaning in life.

Without Jesus there had been no Christianity. So think about it.

Prayer

Hva er bønn?

- Det er en måte for oss å kommunisere med Jesus på, å snakke med han. 

Har du noen gang tenkt over på hvor viktig bønn er? Tenk deg en verden uten bønn, det blir håpløst.

Bønn er en del av hverdagen til en som følger Kristus, det er en del av livet. Tenk på hvor mye fantastisk Jesus kan gjøre hvis du bare spør om det, og hvis du bare har tillit til han.

Han kan gi deg det du vil ha, kanskje får du ikke det med en gang men det kommer etter hvert.

Når man ber trenger man ikke å holde hendene samlet eller holde dem opp mot himmelen, man trenger ikke å lukke øynene og man trenger heller ikke være med flere mennesker for å be. Noen liker å gjøre de tingene, men hvis du ikke vil det så er det greit. Å be er veldig enkelt, du bare begynner å snakke til Jesus, om det er inni deg eller om du snakker ut høyt er opp til deg. Du kan for eksempel sitte på bussen til byen å be, sitte på skolen i en kjedelig time, være i kirken, uansett hvor du er. Det er ingen begrensninger for hvor du kan be og ikke kan be.

Det er mange myter om bønn, og de er veldig kule å tenke på når du ber.

For eksempel:

- Når du ber at noen i himmelen sier "Stille! Det er noen som ber." og alle blir helt stille og hører på.

- Når du ber at englene skytter lyn fra himmelen og ned mot deg.

Han lytter når den nakne ber,

han forakter ikke deres bønn.

- psalm 102:18

What is prayer?

- There is a way for us to communicate with Jesus, talking to him.

Have you ever thought about how important prayer is? Imagine a world without prayer, it becomes hopeless.

Prayer is a part life of one who follows Christ, it's part of our everyday. Think how wonderful things Jesus do if you just aks for it, and if you just trust in him.

He can give you what you want, maybe you do not get it right away but is comes eventually.

When you pray you do not need to keep your hands together or keep them up to heaven, you do not need to close your eyes and you do not have to join more people to pray. Some people likes to do those things, but if you don't want do those things it's okey. Praying is very simple, you just start talking to Jesus, whether it's inside you or if you speak out loud is up to you. For example, sitting on the bus to the city and pray, or sitting in a class in a boring hour, or in the church, or wherever you are. There are no limits to where you can  and can't pray.

There are many myths about praying to, and they are very cool to think about when you pray.

For example:

- When you pray someone in heaven says; "Quiet! Someone is praying." And then everyone is quiet.

- Or when you pray that angels are shooting lightning from the sky and down towards you.
